Anyone ever install a horn on their 8N or is that corny?

I've thought about putting a horn on my 8N. It just seems to me that it should have one. I owned an International 340 that had a factory installed horn on it. It was handy to have if you needed to get someone's attention. Worked better than trying to holler over the sound of the tractors engine.

I installed an AH-hoog-a horn on my old jeep,

the grandkids love it,
first thing they have to do, before we take a ride is blow the horn, they laugh and giggle,
one of the best options I ever put on the old jeep

now how would it work on a tractor, do not know, but go for it,

out in the country where I live, you always blow your horn at your neighbors, give a big wave,
neighbors might like a big horn blow from your tractor, at least you could alert walkers on the road with their ear buds in, that you are behind them.

most horns are 12 volt, that might be a issue if your tractor is still 6 volt,
horns do take a power shot.

My dad put a 6 volt horn on our '51 8N when I was a kid. He had a palm button mounted on the side of the steering post. The horn
went MEEP MEEP about like the horn that is on my son's '42 GPW. I still have the horn in the barn. I never put it back on after
restoring the tractor.

I put one on my 641. Just a universal automotive horn with a push button on dash. Much better for getting my wifes attention than hollering at her.

I holler at my wife to be heard too. When we were first married we had a neighboring farmer that could be heard several miles away. He was constantly bellowing at his sons. The one person he wouldn't bellow at was his wife.

Put a horn on my Jubilee. Fits well in the nose cone of the hood.

Better at getting attention than yelling.

I put an old claxon on my 46. Kinda cool. Everyone loves it.

I was at our local Farm&Fleet store having new tires put on my truck. While I was waiting I walked around the store to kill time. One thing that caught my attention was a horn kit that could be used on any vehicle having a 12 volt system. The button kit was one item, and you had a choice of horns you could use. I selected a horn that had a standard noise level. I bought that one so my wife didn't pee a little each time I used the horn to get her attention. I could lose a helper if that happened every time I hit the horn button.
