John Deer 400 garden tractor
The hydrostatic drive on my garden tractor shifts very hard or not at all or sticks where it is at in gear. Very scary as I mow near some retaining walls. I know nothing about hydrostatic drives.Please give me some advice on what to do and where to look.This tractor is my year round tool for... -

Grounding hook up
OK guys here is the set up, I have 4 #6 cu wires in a 2 inch pvc line to the barn fed from a 60 amp breaker. With the old sub panel (round fuses) I had no problems with the small motors ( grinder drill press Tire changer hand tools that I use) from low voltage. Just not sure whether to hook up... -

Grounding hook up
Need some information. I have replaced an old fuse panel to my barn, 250 ft from the house. Do I hook up all neutrals to the neutral buss bar, unhook the grd buss bar and hook up all copper grds to the new buss bar , then hook up the grounds to that buss bar. Do I hook up to the separate grd... -

Propane Torch
Have a permit but in 50 years here have never had a problem. Even if I had my pistol on he hit me from a blind side and I could not have drawn and shot. I now carry all the time in case he is stupid enough to return and the doors are dead bolted. Don't like to live this way. Lakeguy -

Rounded of bolt heads on intake manifold of '97 F-150
I am not a Ford man but if the bolt goes into an aluminum part it will help to sharply strike on the bolt head. Many times I have only been able to get a steel bolt out of an aluminum part by first beating on the bolt. -

Home protection tool?
While viewing this post I membered I have a similar if not the same gun hanging on the inside of my gun safe . Sure enough it appears to be the same with a .360 bore and a little of the chrome plating is missing, also the top release is currently frozen. The gun came from my late father-in-laws... -

husqvarna chainsaw nightmare
Had to install a new piston and jug on a 55 rancher one time and had the same problem. After much head scratching I found the new base gasket was partially covering the carb-fuel pump vacuum port from the crankcase. Opened up the gasket no more problems. -

Wood Deck Replacement
My son is a carpenter and has done a lot of decks but I don't remember any tear off's. Yy suggestion wood be to unscrew all you can ,tear off the boards and cut off the reaming screws with an angle grinder and steel cut off wheel. He is currently installing a porch and 1oX38 deck using Genova... -

Case 580ck coolant purged from rear of block
You won't want to hear this but I had exactly the same problem on a 580CK. The problem is 1 or more cylinder sleeves are moving up and down in the block letting compression into the colling system. Common problem with that engine. Solution is to have block machined and new sleeves... -
