    Neighbor had a major problem with the 4.2 in his '98, R+R the engine, had no trouble with my '00, has had quite an easy life though.

    Just to add, I have run a couple of chevy 4.3 V6 engines into the ground(very high mileage) and both dead stopped when the fuel pump went, never had a fuel filter warning in advance before the pump failed.

    Frost affecting remote locks?

    Remote doorlocks seem to be more sluggish when its frosty,seem to work well when cold,is there a sensor that could be affected by frost on a GM or could it be dampness in the air,BTW new batteries in remote.

    Tire size change-affect speedo?

    I want to put a set of 65R-16 235 tires as opposed to the called for 70R-16 on the F150 Rear for winter, will this affect the speedometer reading. (Got a real deal on the pair), Thanks Dan

    Any thought as to what a set of large rear steel 50 inch by 12 inch with a casting # TY 43 A near hub, 2 rows of six spokes per wheel,6 spline hub about 4 inches OD and some grey paint residue belong to.Lugs no spades. Ideas would be appreciated (besides getting a digital camera). Thanks Dan
