    Head Studs

    1947 2N When removing the head a couple of the studs came out with the nut. Any negative consequences from heating the nut? Is the stud heat treated? Would heating it reduce the strength? Thanks Monty

    OT-1929 Ford Tri-Motor

    Have approximately 1000 hrs each in the C-97 and the C-124. They both had 4360s. The very first time I was in a C-124 we had an engine fire. Some said they were a bunch of bolts flying in formation. Have picture of my dad in front of a tri-motor that he flew in. Monty

    Oil pressure now, but.....

    Thanks for the good advice. You were right on the tube. We have already buttoned her up once after repairing the oil pick-up tube and the oil pressure was real good. Almost 60 psi. Thanks for the advice about the chalks. Don't know what I was thinking.
