    960 steering seal

Lynn, I forgot that there is an early model pedestal and a later model pedestal. The seal part number I gave you will be for a later model pedestal. Therefore, machines prior to serial number 110986 will be the early model. Serial number 110986 and after will the later model. If you have a...

    960 steering seal

23710 Small Bore Seal. I did the search. Anyway, IF the pedestal on your 960 is the same as my 1959 961 then this may be a suitable substitute for you. Mine is still holding well. Please post back if this works for you. If the one on Soundguy's machine goes out then this will help him too...

    960 steering seal

Soundguy is correct! In the archives look up "Pop! gear lube leaking from pedestal." Later I posted the part numbers of the bearings and seals I used to repair my pedestal in my 961 when it gave way. I hope that will help you. Larry Wallace

    Rebuild and Gasket Kits?

Howdy! I am usually over on the Ford forum but I have a question someone here may be able to answer. Can someone tell me where I can find a rebuild and a gasket kit for a 1953 WD9? I know a person who is looking for these, if available. Thanks for any guidance you can provide. Larry Wallace.

Speaking of Distributors, Dazed and Confused

Zane, "Take the center wire from the distributor that comes from the coil. Hole that wire close to the engine metal somewhere / anywhere and with that screw driver open and close the points manually to see if fire jumps from the high tension wire coming from the coil. If it does but...

    manifold

Roadteck, I suggest you consider using Permatex Ultra Copper sealant. It has been recommended on this forum before by others. It worked very well for me when I replaced the gasket on my exhaust manifold. Good luck. LW
