    i have a 641D with a 172 diesel,144 went bad years ago replaced it with a 172 diesel ,will bolt up use the fly wheel & clutch off your 144D Made A good little tractor better.

    Grease zerk hole size??

    autmotive grease zerk is 1/4 28 NF thread same as a 1/4 NF bolt ,this is not pipe thread. you can have 1/4 ,3/8 ,1/2 pipe thread grease zirks used on industrial equipment.You can have a 1/4 28 NF Bolt thread & A 1/4 in pipe thread they are not the same.

    truck not runnin on all 8 cylinders

    not hitting on all eight. Save your self a lot of trouble. First thing Pull a compression check. if you have burnt valve bad head gasket low compression. replacing all the parts on the out side will not make it run right. till the compression problem is is taken care of

    134 to 172 swap

    I have a 641 with a 172 diesel had no problems with the rear end, I like the way the preforms. I have been told the, 701 901 used the same rear end. the small one.

    ford 4100??

    A model 4600 that came from the factory with a 3600 front end. was called 4100 SU you would need the bolster from the 3600 , I may be able to help I have a couple of the bolsters. I have a 4100 SU eMail me.

    I have seen tie rod ends & tubes I think they was off a mid 70's 2x4 GM 3/4 ton truck Been several years ago. not original I know but worked OK.

    841 Diesel Cam

    Matt I think your cam & gear failure was caused by the hydraulic pump. I have seen this happen three or four times all hydraulic pump failures.some would turn the shaft would move in & out,the pump would lock up at some point. Had a 861 Diesel do this to me one time new front gears cam...

    The 172 in the 4000 did not have sleeves from the factory. Over the years many were bored & sleeves installed. If the tractor engine came from the factory casted for spin on oil filter, No Adaptor The engine came with out sleeves. about 62 To 63
