Using a 12 volt battery in a SC

Won't hurt the starter a bit. My 54 DC has been started with a 12 volt battery for over 40 years that I know of, and I am pretty sure Grandpa put a 12 volt battery on it shortly after he bought the tractor new.

    Geo Tracker

You can download a manual online. Think it cost $5.00 for it, and it wasn't a Haynes either. On my Sidekick, I haven't had that problem, but about every other one.

Looking for blem or used tires

Be careful about buying the blems from them. Back 15 years ago, I bought 2 18.4-34s that they said were in good shape. Ended up with a big bubble on the side of both of them. Took most of a year, and an attorney getting involved, to get things straightened out. This was from Firth COOP way back...

    need help with vac 12volt

I am pretty sure my DC has been 12 volt since about the time my Granddad picked it up from the dealer in 1954, and it has never had a broken starter. I don't have any charging system on it. About once a month pull the battery and put it on the charger. As long as I can get the motor to roll over...

    Half Way!! :)

That is still one of my favorite jobs, but I like it a whole bunch better, when you have 5 drills tied together.

    COMs haying

I leased out my 800 and 830 to a neighbor to do some "haying". Its a dry, all most, lake bed. He has never run Case tractors, and had no clue how to run a COM. We tied the 830 to a 8ft disc mower, almost not enough horses, but we are making it work. On the 3rd round, they found a wet spot. Tied...

    7700 JD 3 point

I haven't looked at the tractor yet. He just told me it was stuck, and that they had tried to free it up 6 or 7 years ago. I am pretty sure it is "froze" in the rock shaft. Stuck all the way up, of course.

    7700 JD 3 point

I have a neighbor that has a 7700 that he hasn't been able to use the 3 point on. Would like to use it to gather bales, but the 3 point is "stuck". Is there anyway to free it up? I have never run John Deere to speak of, but would like to help him out if I can. Thanks

D2 cat, does anybody know of a pony motor for sale?

I think I have 1 complete, and 1 parts pony motor sitting in the shop. I would make a real good deal on them. I'm in North Central Nebraska.

    Stock trailer

Radials are the only way to go any more. Pull easier, and last better then the old bias ply. If you are going to be hauling a lot, don't get the Hi-run 14 ply!! THEY ARE JUNK!!!

raising the hitch on an SC

Just thinkin, on my '54 DC, you can turn the drawbar over to get the right height. Are they the same as the SC? I haven't owned a SC in over 10 years, so kinda forgot how the drawbar is on them.

    Horse People

I find it kinda strange that there are lots of horses that "won't" eat this or that. As a kid, our horses always got the poorest feed we had. Yes we used the horses, and used them hard. Most of the time we had 5 to 10 head around. Today, I still have 8 to 10 head of horses around, and they...

Just came and we may nwwd to be evacuaed due to Fies

You obviously have never been around HOT grass fires, like we have had this year. Our yard is the greenest in this area, and I am pretty sure a fire would burn, and jump right over it.
