I leased out my 800 and 830 to a neighbor to do some "haying". Its a dry, all most, lake bed. He has never run Case tractors, and had no clue how to run a COM. We tied the 830 to a 8ft disc mower, almost not enough horses, but we are making it work. On the 3rd round, they found a wet spot. Tied the 800 on to 100ft of cable, and mashed the throttle. The 830 popped right out. I crawled on the 830 to try to mow out around the wet spots, thinking I am the better operator. Made it almost 100 yards, and down it went. Tied the 800 on again, and down IT went. Got everything rocked back enough to get the cable loose, and drug out another 100 feet of cable plus every chain we had, tied it on to a Dodge pickup, and the 800. Walked the 800 right out.
I guess I said all that to say that the COM is just amazing in swamps!!! We never slipped a wheel everytime we got stuck. The tractors just sunk out from under us. Should have taken some pics, but I never think of that when I should be.
