    Oliver 100 plow setup

The vertical link between the plow tongue and the front frame member needs to be adjusted shorter. The adjustment set screw is part of the plow frame bracket. Put a 4 inch block under the fixed tail wheel and then adjust the vertical link to make the plow drawbar level. This should get you...

    Crawler Tractor Identification

The HG is an HG31 which is the very narrow gage model of the HG series. Notice the fenders and the steering lever is on the outside of the operators leg (all other HGs have the steering levers in between the operator legs.

    Oliver OC-3 Oil Pressure Gauge

This is an early HG and not an OC3. Can you tell if the orange paint is the original color? Oliver bought the Cleveland Tractor Co in 1944. At that time the HG was painted Orange and the decal on this tractor is consistent with that time frame production. By 1946 the HG was painted Oliver green...

    Oliver Truck

The Wendel book has a lot of good information and the many photos are good references. However, the photo captions have serious errors. Look at pages 60 and 61 where you find the photos of Hart and Parr. The captions are reversed!! This is an embarrassment for a book entitled OLIVER HART-PARR.

    oliver 22a sickle mower

The 22A mower was painted red, just as all of the Oliver plows/discs/cultivators until about 1952 when everything changed to green paint.

    latest restore and airshow

Great pictures. Brought back memories as I flew the B-25 and the T-6 (shown parked behind the B-25) back in pilot training in 1955. My Oliver days go back to 1946 and I love the Oliver Green. Now I am just trying to hone my retirement skills.

    Oliver 70 industrial

My source states that the last 1948 70 industrial serial number is 402230. This makes the total 1948 production 539 tractors. Industrial 70 production from 1945 through 1948 was much higher than in previous years. Only 181 Industrial 70s were produced through 1944. As an Oliver dealer we sold 2...

I'm in the market for a bigger spreader

It looks like a Model 11 spreader. This was the small Oliver spreader in the 40s and early 50s. You would like the Oliver model 7 spreader which is about twice the size of the model 11. The model 17 came along in the mid 50s with 75 bushel capacity followed by the model 100 with 100 bushel...

    Modern Oliver lore

Just a follow up comment on the orange Oliver 70. A few Row Crop 70s were painted orange at the factory for the industrial dealers. The decals were black just as the real 70 Industrials. The one we sold at our dealership came without a power lift, otherwise it was equipped just as an...

Hand clutch on a Super 66 by Ron Grother

My 1957 Parts book for the 77/Super77 includes the optional hand clutch. It indicates this option will work on all 77/Super 77 serial numbers. The special parts for the hand clutch are identified with a "K" prefix indicating they were initially designed for the 88 tractors. I can"t comment on...

    Cletrac, Model ????

Appears to be a modified Cletrac M2 as built for the US military during WWII. The Army Air Force used it as a heavy tug to tow large aircraft. It was equipped with various accessories such as an air compressor and large generator. There is one on display at the Air Force Museum near Dayton Ohio...

    front mounted cultivator for 770

You could consider going all the way back to the 4-row pipe culitvator as used on the 70/77/88 tractors with the hydraulic cylinder lift package.

    plow years

My source says that the 100 Plowmaster was introduced in 1939 and production continued thru the mid 1950s. My personal experience can attest that production was continuous between 1945 and 1952. During this same period Oliver also produced the so-called "heavy duty" plows which were very much...
