OT Reelfoot Lake St Park TN

I suppose you can still rent a "reelfoot boat" there and cruise around in the lake. I have enjoyed that. They are designed to go over logs, stumps, etc underneath the water. Of course somewhat slowly.

    O.T.---Generic Drugs

Quite often the brand co makes the generic as well. Sells generic at a much lower price. Most of our customers demand generics. I would myself. The USA government says they are the same. They do the testing. We as pharmacist don't. I had a customer some years ago who had been taking generic...

JD 430 muffler gets red hot

Not sure how normal, but when farming with our JD40 back in the 50"s , the muffler would glow red when plowing at night. A little scary, about 2 feet from the gas cap, not noticable in daytime, probably normal, far as i know it never hurt anything. The tractor still runs.

    Road Use

Actually, its 60 deg here this am. I feel good. Being a little tongue in cheek with my comments. Getting ready to ride bicycle in the road. I also ride horses in the road. Even ride a JD tractor in the road when necessary. Nothing wrong with any of these. Have a great day everyone. Lets all...

    Road Use

Bicycles are some problem in this area. Another though in our area are those stinky horse riders. Horses don't seem to be licensed and run mostly on hay & corn. They dress ok except for those big ol hats. Dogs don;t seem to like them much more than the bicycles. When real farmers come along with...

    What plow for a '40'?

I still have the "two bottom" Disc breakers that came with the 40t dad bought in 1954. I wonder if they may be a little unique. Probably don't work as well as the bottoms but they sure would cut a root and keep going in their day.

    1954 John Deere 40T

The 40T is not rare at all. Seems now most prefer the wide front tractors. I havent seen but one in a pull. It did well, however there were only about 3 in that weight class. They can be quite hand tractor if in good condition. They have 3 point lift system.

You did the right thing. Thanks. We all need to be sensitive to the needs of others more than we are.

feeding horese a little corn on the cob

When we worked mules some years back, we fed them whole ears. Actually brother and i quit shucking it for them. When gathering corn pulling a wagon they ate the corn all the time that way. If they can do that in the field they can eat it shuck and all in the stable. Never hurt a mule.
