    How could hydraulic fluid get in engine coolant?

    . . Was there ever - or was an add on available as an oil cooler transferring heat from radiator to hyd oil? Similar to today's transmission coolers buried in the radiator? Just thinking out loud :) .

    Valve lash caps...... May or may not have been OEM If the head had been reworked over the years, caps may have been added to offset wear on the pushrods and/or the rocker arms. OR just to provide clearance between rocker arm and valve spring retainer. Not many people use them...
