    Ford 4000 engine

    I'm looking at a Ford 4000 with water in the oil. It has a 3 cylinder diesel engine in it. I'm curious if these engines are prone to any major problems and I'm curious of how common used engine parts(i.e. blocks and heads) are for them. Thank you for your time.

    Here are some pictures, not the best quality. I also have a video on how everything moves. I also made a mistake with my previous description. The bottom on the rear engages the pto, and the lever on the side engages the creeper gear. Thus the 540 pto can run separate of the creeper.

    Came a crossed this planter while checking fence, and was wondering if anyone could identify it.     I took what was left of the original to a local rubber shop. Dug through their scrap pile tell I found a piece with the proper thickness, and just cut out the pads.

    MCCORMICK WD6/ ID6

    To my knowledge all industrials came with a foot accelerator. Also there's an id6 and an id6 heavy duty. Heavy duties have thicker rear castings, and solid front and rear hubs.

    Fast hitch Sickle bar mower???

    That would be a McCormick 27V semi mounted sickle mower. It's been modified for a fast hitch, but it start life as bolt to drawbar.

    Super a manifold question

    On the '48 Super AV I'm working on those holes you have in your new manifold are plugged. I can't tell if it's a rusted bolt head that's fused with the manifold or actually part of the casting. Just thought I would pass on something I noticed.

    What does "Pad, Felt, Left Fender" do on an A?

    Just pulled my pad out earlier today. My guess as I pulled it out was that it was to keep dirt from getting packed in between the fender and rear end. It sure did a heck of a job of rusting out the fender.
