    I finally found the make and Model of the pump but I can't find any info on how to tell if I need to top the thing up as or to what level. If I stick a pencil into the fill connection the fluid is about 5 inches down on a unit that's only about a foot high. Any help would be appreciated.

    The tractor has the Continental with the oil filer in the oil pan, Ignition and oil fill on the left as per the picture.
