    Gleaner 4-38 head plugging update

    years ago we did that to get us by, no money at the time for replacements, and it helped. You just have to stay away from the bearings or the heat will cook them. If you can afford it, just replace them.

    if the blades are rounded, try running a bead of weld down them in the center 1/2, to stay away from the bearings.

    thats cool. The first combine I remember Dad owning was a 545 Oliver, then he upgraded to an F2, nice to see the cmparison.
