    OK, I want to know

I have a 570 New Holland square baler. It is washed thoroughly from top to bottom. Every blade of grass and every grass seed is washed out of the baler. Set the baler out in the hot sun to dry with all the doors open. When everything is dry, I grease all the fittings and put it back under the...

    Bale loader

I have one similar to that. Wife drives the tractor and I stack on the trailer. It takes a lot of work out of hay hauling. IMO it is worth its weight in gold.

    5610 II starter.

Been having trouble with the starter on my 5610 II. Nothing when I turned the key. Took starter and solenoid to starter/alternator shop for a check. Owner said it was working fine. Told him what that tractor was doing and he said check the neutral safety switch. Bypassed the NSW and the tractor...

    5610 or 6600??

1990 - 5610 is what I came up with. I think the 6600 has a turbo, 5610 no turbo. I know my 2 5610s do not have turbo. The 6600 Ford serial numbers begin with C_ _ _ _ _ _. http://www.tractordata.com/farm-tractors is the link for that type info.

Piston packing could be bad in the lift cylinders. This is what I would check.

    ford 1200 stuck clutch

Tie the clutch pedal down with a bungee cord. Start it and go. Drive it around a while. Stuck clutch has happened to me several times. The last time, I was driving my Ford around in the hay field. Went across a shallow dip/ditch. This caused the tractor to bounce a little. That is when it popped...

What do you do when you're smartphone won't fit in your bib?

I wear overalls 99% of the time. Carry my wallet in the bib pocket. Those pockets are not wide enough to easily get the wallet in and out of, but I struggle with it. Maybe I need a smaller wallet. The hammer loop is so large that a heavy Estwing framing hammer will fall thru. Seems like the...

    Built to fail

I grease mine before each use. Dixie Chopper 16/17 years old. No bearing failures so far. After the mower has been used for a while, the bearings will get louder. Grease them and they get quiet. I just believe in grease. Use a lot of it on lawnmower, tractors, and sawmill. One of my pickups has...

    Tractor Chickens

I usually have a few when cutting hay or mowing pastures. This week while cutting hay, none showed up. Now I know why. They are all in SE Texas. We usually have a few with the horses in the pasture.
