    No need to be concerned at the rear adjustment....front adjustment is 1/2 hole short wide open.

    I'm doing some upgrades to a John Deere 260 backhoe. Plan on adding additional plate to accompany a thumb. I've looked high and low and can't determine the thickness of the boxing on the boom. Any information is requested if anyone has done some updates. Tks in advance.

    Most of the large oval mufflers are practically enough weight to make it break....maybe a taller barn?

    1951 B Steering?

    I took a grinder with thin blade and slightly ground the other teeth on the gears...very pain stacking work...but was able to get the gears to mesh completely through the cycle...then I adjusted gears together and was able to get all the slop out of the steering...if you got a lot of patience...

    I don't know of any left handed nuts on John Deere equipment....I do know if costs a fortune to restore one of those transmissions....

    When I changed my B's over to 12 volt...I used A generators which are 12volt to satisfy the correct police....most of the time I found that the regulators were the culprits...John Deere put those on top of the generators where they would shake and also they put them about 4" from that hot...

    From experience the B generators may barely keep the battery charged...never had any problems with the later model Delco 12 volt generator....in changing my old B's to 12 volts the starter was 6 and would turn at a faster cranking speed.

    Don't think facebook crowd is in the old tractor business. I really think Tractorhouse is a good marketing too but is pricey to use. I'm like the other poster....facebook is not my bag.

    Cheer up, they're just tractors and there are others. I learned this from a dear friend now gone. Some of the guys in our tractor club would hang on, hang on to these tractors but my friend would get one fix up and then enjoy then sell or trade and move on to another one or model. He got me...
