    Worm Gear Question

Well, I pulled a good one this week... Let one of the band saw gear boxes run dry. I sent in a request for price and availability on a worm and worm gear set, haven't gotten a reply yet, but I know it's not going to be good!!! But then I had a "what would Macgyver do" moment and came up with...

Someday a price will shock me

I went to the CaseIH dealer today and got 6 (six) flexible rubber seed tubes for that IH number 10 grain drill, same tubes as a 510. $144.90. I kept smiling and making small talk while I wrote the check,no sense going off on Jan,she doesn't price this stuff, but it gets harder to smile every time...

Re: Farmall H Generator Oil Cups....

They pry out. A small easy out might save the old ones, but they just push in. Jim

    Another road trip!

Just a heads up...... You are probably right about the gathering chains needing replaced, but those are spring loaded (on the 900 and 1000 series anyway). The adjusting bolt/spring always looks like it's extended all the way.

    Massy 540 combine

Way to much money. You would be better to keep looking, and skip all the MF's of that era.

    1206 'value'

Watched one sell at auction. 8K hours, TA out, motor wouldn"t idle, either revved up or died when you messed with throttle, mismatched rear tires, bald front tires (tri rib) year around cab (not bad), lots of leaks. Overall appearance I"d say 6 out of 10. One owner estate sale. Brought...
