    800 planter firming points

Yep, your right 560, the shoes are worn pretty bad. The new points I have didn't fit as they are the updated ones. So I ordered all new shoes too. I wondered last year why my seed was not going as deep as I wanted it too. Must have been because everything was wearing out under there. I've got...

    800 planter firming points

I need to replace the firming points on my 800 planter as the old ones are pretty well rounded over. I was wondering what the procedure is to get the old ones out and the new ones in. Do you have to take the disks off to do it? I"m sure somebody on this board has done this before. Any advice...

    A few baling questions

I baled the first load this afternoon. Boy what a difference from my 68! I think I'm going to try and borrow another wagon from a neighbor. I don't want to get my head taken off by a flying bale. So far its worked great. Thanks for all the helpful comments and suggestions.

    A few baling questions

Earlier is week I took delivery of a used 570 New Holland baler with thrower. Finally retired the 68 what wasn't working right anymore. Anyway, I have a few questions. 1. Which tractor should I put in front of it. Either a 885 CIH or a 686. I have to wire up the thrower distance control so I...

    884 IH

Chuck, thats one of the reasons I bought a 686 last summer. On the 84,85 series you sit so low and close to the engine you'll almost fry on a 90 degree day. Very reliable tractor though. Our 885 has 6000+ hours with only minor repairs.

    CaseIH 895 power steering vibration

I've spent many hours on an 885 cutting hay with a haybine. After a few hours it feels like your hands are falling asleep. Ours did this since new so I just figured that's the way it is. It never gets to the point of being painful but can be annoying.

    Fram filters

Doesn't anybody use filters from IH? I've always used the ones from IH, Case IH. It says in the manual "Remeber, always use genuine IH parts". I've never had a filter related problem.

Took the H for a drive

Super M's were tested at Nebraska, regular M's were not in LP version. So LP Super M's must have left the factory that way or they wouldn't have tested them. I'm not saying every LP SM came from the factory that way but it could have.

    NH 824 corn head

I just bought a 824 New Holland corn head for my 790 chopper. Since they were built since the mid 1980's to today I was wondering how old this one is. Anybody know how to tell? It has black decals on it and is ser.# 910208. Thanks for your help in advance. Mark

    66/86 series hydraulic couplers

I had the dealer install those kits in the 686 I bought in july. They really work well and look good too. All my other tractors and implements are ISO so it makes things much more conveinient.
