    TO-20 Engine

Hello, 18 year old kid here. Dad gave me a 1952 Ferguson TO-20. I've decided that I want to rebuild the engine. I pulled the head and saw there was a good amount of wear on the cylinder liners. I don't see any cracking between the cylinders which i have heard are common with the Z120 engines...

    Shopping for Tires

We have a pair of tires that came from Czechoslovakia on the last tractor we bought. They look good, but Czechoslovakia ceased to exist in 1993. So I'm not sure if they are that old, or if someone continued to make tires with that name after Czechoslovakia split into Czech republic and Slovakia.

    Kinda OT: gettin started

Another option is to buy the ground, and pay someone else to do custom work on your ground. Everything stays in your name, you just pay someone else for the equipment. Had several neighbors do that when they were on the downside of their careers, rather than buying replacement equipment, they...

Got the hay up yesterday before it rained today

The stacker is on an 1100, the baler is on a 180. The 165 is back in the barn (along with the 1150, 1130, and other 1100) I enjoyed the workout to a certain extent as well. We still unload by hand most of the time however. With the accumulator my Dad can start baling while I'm at work, and I...

Got the hay up yesterday before it rained today

We've got the 8 bale accumul8, link below. http://www.agwaymfg.com/ag/accumul8.php We went with the accumul8 because there isn't any hydraulics on it, so it can go behind any baler without much trouble swapping it around. The mirror is there to look at what's behind you :D...

    O/T ...'09 Malibu vs. '59 Bel Air

But there are very few true direct head on collisions. Most of the time they are a result of someone drifting into an opposing lane, resulting in an impact similar to the one shown.

Just bought a 1940 A for $850. Running, with starter installed on it. Doesn't look too bad, just a bad paint job.

    Ferguson acessories "Tractor Jack"

Here's a video of one in action on a ford. We've got the rear tire one for our Ferguson 30. Don't think we ever had a front tire one like the video though. If you want more pictures, let me know, and I can get some. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZR_bZr69p4

Tach hookup on 1100 with combine engine?

When I looked at A&I parts, it looked like there were two shafts one long for combines from what I could tell, and a short one for tractors. How would the tach been driven on a 510 or 550 combine? Right now agcoparts is down for maintenance, so I can't check. [/img]

    flat belt setup

I always heard a twist (Inside turned out on one end, not top to bottom) was done to increase traction somehow, and also helped with equal wear on the belt surfaces. A top to bottom flip would reverse the direction of rotation.

Tach hookup on 1100 with combine engine?

If I remember correctly, the shaft protrudes about an inch proud of the block. I'll try to get a picture as soon as possible.
