    CFL Bulbs

Cheap light sensors tend to oscillate between on and off when they first turn on or when they turn off. This will fry any fluorescent lamp quickly. A higher quality sensor with some hysteresis (the turn on and turn off trip points are separated by some amount of light) will fix the problem...

    4320 electrical probelems

Don't completely discount the batteries. I had a set in a 4020 that drove me crazy at about the same age as your batteries. Also, it only takes one bad battery to drain the other, especially if it's a 12V system. There's not much in the way of electrical on a 20-series. Get a cheap ammeter...

    212 John Deere lawn tractor

We had a '76 214 when I was growing up. Toughest darned machine I ever saw! We abused the dickens out of it...and it's STILL going (after an engine rebuild 3 years ago)! We used it to pull grain wagons (empty). It mowed 3+ acres of yard every week...plus mowing the "rough" around the barns...

    Light switches with resisters

Resistors are rated by power (Watts). That is V*I, or if you just know the voltage, (V*V)/R. {Voltage squared divided by Resistance}. So, on a 6V system a 2-ohm resistor will need to be at least 18W. The next standard size is 25W. Make sure you solder the wires to the terminals good because...

    Sad Day

An awful tragedy. It's still a sore spot inside of JD that the necessity of a seat belt to work with the ROPS was not recognized sooner.

    2510 diesel

I grew up with a 2510 and a 4010 as our "core" tractors. We used that 2510 whenever possible because that little 4-cyl used so much less fuel than the 4010. Yeah, it's a little lacking in hp, but I loved driving that little tractor for planting, haying, etc.
