    Row Crop 88

I have an alternator on my 88 and can close curtains. Small "racing" alternator. Seems to be more reliable than the generator/regulator setup and the twelve volts spins the starter a lot better than the original 6 volt. Just saying.

    But what are they

Hardware for single/double trees. Like was said, the trace chains hooked to them. Round part goes around the single tree.

Like to watch Dr. Pol myself. Grand kids would rather watch Dr. Pol than cartoon. All to the good in my book.

Does anyone know where I can get rake tines for the Oliver model 107-B rake that followed me home this week? It's in pretty good shape, but missing a few teeth. Wife came home the other day and said that the neighbor had a hay rake for sale. I've been using an old steel wheel New Idea that...

    830 hydraulic tips

Take your checkbook. Adapters are about $50 each. They work, but I finally made the switch so I didn't have to monkey with them.

    1030 3 point problem

Need some help with 3 point hitch problem. When I let the 3 point hitch down, the lever returns to the up position as soon as the implement bottoms out. Is there a sensor setting that needs adjustment or something else I'm missing? Thanks for any help you guys can give. Matt

    starting a cold diesel engine??

My 1030 Case has factory electric manifold heater. Also has a block heater. Anything much below 20 degrees and I leave the block heater plugged in, hit the manifold heater for a few seconds and it starts right up. Had to replace block heater this fall and the paperwork that came with it...

I saw the ambulance and fire truck

Neighbor lost some fingers in the husking rolls when I was a kit. Couple of years later he lost some on the other hand the same way. Just got to wonder about some people.

    Sharpening Newer knives!!!!

Grandfather used to have a hand cranked grinding wheel he used. Don't know what happened to it. Electric grinders have too much speed and tend to take out any temper in the edge. I use a knife sharpener from Rada. Little thing with two steel wheels. Takes off the rough and then I touch it up...

Repairing a plastic heated drinking tank

I'd attach metal strips on both sides with inner tube gaskets between the strips and the tank. drill holes as necessary and use 1/4 inch bolts to tighten down. I've repaired a few metal tanks this way. Don't see why it wouldn't work with plastic.

Anyone put up hay without baling

Used to do a little bit back in the 60s. When we cleaned the mow at my Grandfather's barn, there was some loose hay in one of the corners. Had to be at least 40-50 years old. Not sure how much food value was still there, but it was as green as the day they put it in the mow.

    what size tractor is needed

My old barn is about 50"x30". Back in the late 1800/early 1900s it was moved about a half mile to it"s current location by a team of horses. I remember my grandfather telling how they spent a day burying a "deadman", and the next day pulling barn up to it. Don"t remember how long it took to...
