What is a model 68 new holland baler worth

As long as nothing obvious is bent or broken on it I would guess it to sell for 600-1300 on auction in northeast iowa. For comparison a nice jd 336 around here is still a healthy 4k plus baler if the owner represents it at auction.

    Good crop of hay

What tractor are you using and what model/width disc mower? Looking at upgrading my sickle mower and going with a disc mower. Thanks

    1190 International mower conditioner

Dang it, 489 is what it's supposed to be that I had problems with. Fat fingers are giving me fits lol. The 488 is/was a good machine

    1190 International mower conditioner

I had a 488 nh. I'd stay away from it, mine had wobble box issues. Pretty common on the 489. Needless to say it is no longer on the farm.

    Square bale stacker

I would rather put hay up that's a little wet than let it rot in the field and still have to bale it to get it off. Of course this is in iowa, wet humid summers are tough to get hay made. Dad tells stories of stacking hay in the loft and putting down huge amounts of salt inbetween each...

    Hauling a sickle mower

Pull it 1,500 miles? They don't exactly trail well at 65 mph, especially if the highway is ruff. Not saying it couldn't be done I'm sure someone has a war story about pulling one thousands of miles, uphill both ways. Lol. On another note, a suburban gets about 12 mpg, u might be better off...

The IH mower I used to have. Model 1100? i think, had that as well. It was used to pull a crimper behind the sickle mower.

    Disk

I forgot to answer your question about what it's used for. You can see in my picture below I was using mine to disc up bean stubble. It's not really a heavy enough disc to do much damage to 200 bushel per acre corn trash though, but when these discs were new they were following a plow. Farmer...

    Disk

In North Iowa that would be a 300-600 dollar disc. Condition of blades, scrapers, bearings, frame (a lot have been broken and welded), tires ect. I will attach a picture of the little jd disc I bought this spring. It's 10 foot. The tires were basically shot, no hyd cylinder (not really a big...

Went to the Agco dealer. I got both lug bolts and nuts just to be darn sure on of um would work, not driVing back at 5 bucks a gallon gas lol. They worked just fine. Next time I'm at the hardware store I'm going to get some regular 9/16 nuts and take the lug nuts off to save for next time as...

    Running gear hub help/advice needed

I've been to the jd dealer, auto parts store, big box farm store, local hardware store's and a tire repair shop. I also could not locate a long enough lug bolt or a tapered nut. I thought about trying my luck on the grinder to taper a nut.
