550 auxilary valve problem
Went to use my 550 to disc the garden but it would not pick up the 8 ft. wheel disc. Fluid level ok three point works but it will not lift the disc with the cylinder. Hooked the disc to my 1600 and nothing wrong with cylinder. I think the o-rings between valve and hydraulic housing may be...- MAX -KY

Shows featuring Oliver this summer
I would like to find out about any shows this summer featuring Olivers. There is one in Osgood IN the last weekend in June but a previous commitment prevents me from attending that one. With the cost of fuel being so high I would like to find one in OH, IN, IL, KY, TN, or possible MO.- MAX -KY

550 can't pull a plow
Discussed your problem with my neighbor, we both grew up driving 550s. He had the idea that the lower lift arms are not the same length. Maybe one was replaced with an aftermarket arm that looks similar but is not exactly the length of the original. Check the length from center of the holes...- MAX -KY

If your plow points are new or at least sharp you should not need the stabilizer bars if the plow is properly adjusted. I pull 3-14s with my 550 diesel without any problems except that the front end gets light when I pick it up. (No front weights) One idea, your right side lift arm should be...- MAX -KY

2-70 White
My brother just told me about a 2-70 with cab, heat and working air for $2,000, the bad news is that it has a broken crank shaft. Wondering if an engine from a 1650 or 1655 would fit or what a crankshaft would cost? Any information appreciated.- MAX -KY
