Do I really need a redistor on my 12V conversion?

Hello again, Been troubleshooting my new to me Jubilee with a 12V negative ground system. At first the can't keep running was traced to poor fuel flow from a clogged fuel filter. Starts and runs much better now, but will still die out after a longer period of pulling. Noticed that it still...

    cool weather starting

Just ment that you have new spark plugs, you might check with Napa and use a plug that gives a hotter spark during the winter, the hotter plug will help burn the fuel faster. Just insure the motor timing is right on specification. However you might try 2 degree + or - might help the motor start...

    Tires

I just bought a set for the rear of my to-35 Ferguson. BKT brand made in China 8 ply. Std tractor tread Wish I could have afforded the U.S. made tires, but they were $100 higher each and only 6 ply and had that funkey 23 degree tread which I do not like. I had one set with that 23 degree...

    Brinly corn planter

Could you fill in the plate holes with jb weld, When it sets up, drill and grind out the holes to the desired size. I am a certified ky card carrying red neck so we play by different rules sometimes. My little JD planter does a great job of planting my sweet corn. Guess I was just lucky with...

    Restore a dead battery?

Most time the old batteries have a shorted out cell. This from built up debris in the bottom of the battery and it touches one of the cell plates. I would rather spent my hard earned money on a new quality battery, rather than some type old battery fix. Just my humble opinion:

Ford 600 vs New or Recent Tractors

Next time you might use corn head grease. Many old low speed gear boxes are running today using corn head grease. Both john deere and caseIH make this material Check it out: it's a great lube and it does not run out like gear oil. However, the steering gearbox oil has been in the steering...

    Cool Piece of Oliver history

When I was attending a military school at Brook Army Med Center, One of those B36 was on display at a air museum, I had never seen one before, it is a large plane. Bet it was loud riding in that plane with all of those engines running. Forgotten memoir, thanks for the post. It would have...

    exhaust manifold

I just replaced the manifold on my to35 when the exhaust area broke off. I would not think welding it would work well as it would have to be anealled after welding. Was a bit of a pain for me as I am not a mechanic, I would not want to do it again. Be sure to use brass nuts on the exhaust...

    Hooking a woodsplitter to a Kubota 3700

You need to know the gallons per minute of your hydraulic pump. You get it hooked up and it's so slow you will not be satisfied. Just buy 5 hp engine and wood splitter pump. A hydraulic pump made for a wood splitter has a high volume side and a low volume, high pressure side. You do not have...

    creative lawn rollers???

You may know this: But be very careful if you go welding on some old galvanized water tanks to make your roller. The weld will produce fozgean (sp) gas that is very dangerous. Just check it out before you weld!!!!!!!!!
