1310 Injector Pump Problem
I already learned that this tractor doesn't like ether, it doesn't spark and actually slows down the cranking. Mechanic told me to use WD40, but it doesn't seem to help much either.... -

Ford 1310 injector pump problems
I don't think that is the case with this tractor as it has always been a hard start even with the 3-point in different positions, but I will check it out again as soon as I repair the 3-point adjuster lever that broke off last year ;-)- MendoBob

yes, seems something going on with the hydraulics, but I will need to put the injector pump back in order first, and also install a new water pump ;-)- MendoBob

Strange yes.... maybe the relief valve is gummed up, or hydraulic filter clogged?? I will investigate further- MendoBob

I have a 1985 Ford 1310 tractor, which is actually a Shibura (Shibaura) 3 cylinder machine. I've had it around 8 years, it's always been very difficult to start. I need to run the glow plugs three times, and raise the bucket while cranking to reduce hydraulic back pressure and play the throttle... -

Front End Loader Control Valve Problem on Ford 1310
Thanks for the welcome and all the good feedback. I was able to contact the seller and he told me to adjust the height of the 3 point hitch. He said if its too high it will rob all the hydro power. This sounds right because I was playing with it at the time of the malfunction, but I have not had... -

Front End Loader Control Valve Problem on Ford 1310
While using my new (to me) 1985 Ford 1310 tractor for the first time today the control valve for the front end loader seems to have malfunctioned. It was normal at first, but after 20 minutes I found that I can lift the bucket up, but can't lower it. The tilt controls seem to work very slowly...
