    road speed of 148 with 28 inch wheels

    Approx 16 mph on 28" and 18 to 19 on 32" wheels. Multi-power 20mph on 28" and 24mph on 32" If you can get an 8 speed with 32" wheels it will be a good choice

    A lot of 124's and the older 15 and 20's are still working here in the uk with very few problems. Lack of spares for the older models is the main problem.

    236 would be my choice. Plus you will need radiator and other small parts such as fuel supply for heater etc.

    13.6 x 28" would be the biggest size I would fit. I find very wide tires have less ground pressure and loose traction.

    Move lever D to the opposite end to fast response and this could make a difference to how the arms drop using lever C

    The G refers to the type of hydraulic pump fitted The oil filler for the engine is infront of the injector pump, rear end oil filler next to gear levers and dipstick on the right near difflock pedal

    I bought a mf135 that had done 13,500 hours still a good tractor, but steering need work. With only 600 hours it should be as good as new

    How to get brake drum off MF 240

    I have had this problem with damaged slots in the screws. If the impact wrench wont move it, I have welded a rear wheel nut to the screw head. put the tapered side to screw head them weld round the gap. leave to cool, 1 1/16" socket on breaker bar, job done

    [I would not have any problems buying a high houred MF 135. I bought one with 13,000 hours and it still was capable of a full days work. If well maintained they are very reliable, and parts are easy to source and reasonably cheap. Do the checks that others have mentioned and then adjust the...

    I have to agree with you sam the MF 188 is definatly ONE of the best looking mf tractors. Sorry davidp and Mf poor your tractors are much better presented than mine but i dont relly want to paint it yet, but in time it will continue to detiorate and then i will have too

    I have never seen one close up, but i think the us built MF35 Diesel deluxe with PAVT wheels (spin out rims) is one of the best looking MF tractors of all time. It may be because its different to the tractors we are more used to in the uk. I would love to be able to own one here in the uk.
