I think I have seen it all now

FarmAll H part throttle, 12-14 MPH. That's flying on just a board.

    4020 24v questions (pt 2)

I use two inexpensive 12-volt battery maintainers on my 64 3020 with the 24-volt system. Just connect them to each battery separately, works great. Disconnecting the battery that is connected directly to the starter does seem to help, I have been told that debris inside the starter end cap can...

    Turkeys

I am located in mid-Michigan, and we have quite a few here. Last winter there was 50-60 in my front yard. Some of the braver ones were on my deck looking in the window. I usually run a couple of nesting hens through the haybine. I believe the turkey population may be why there are longer any...

1965 JOHN DEERE 4020 diesel rough idea of value

I still think that 158 loader is worth nearly $4,000. Duel outlets, JD front end, weights, sway blocks and I assume power beyond. Ask about the top link. That not a lot of hours if it's the original tac. Agree with Ray.

    Day from h3ll

What, no major tractor failure and the cow aren't out. Hopefully it was diet pop. Take a short nap and restart your day.

John Deere 60 Oil Pressure Adjustment Different

I would remove the oil line to the gauge where it connects to the engine, remove plugs, crank over. Hopefully it will spray oil over your nice clean engine. If not, you need to open it up.

    Tractor Rim Question

The rims I have on my MF 65 came off an AC Gleaner K series. They had a valve stem opening on both sides originally tube less with both openings plugged with a rubber plug.

    Ruh-roh, that ain't good

Try letting the tractor set for a few days then remove drain plug and drain out any water. Remove fill plug and check if its overfull. Drain any excess.

How to fix 3 point lift.and auxilar to work at same time?

No, however the three point will stay in the position it was in when you switch, if the system leaks down you may need to switch to three point every little while. I have been using my MF 65 like this for years, I carry a bale on the rear and a bale on the loader.

1965 JOHN DEERE 4020 diesel rough idea of value

I think $7,000 to $11,000 is on the low side with a 158 loader. I spent a couple of years trying to buy a 148 or 158 for my 4020 and a 158 will bring $4,000 on its own. I would say more like $10,000 to $15,000. The 15.5-38 was more common on a 4010 and might lower the price.

Does anybody still use vertical silo's anymore

Dug my share of broken bottom unloaders. I spent the four summers I was in college working unloader service. The last summer I worked my partner and I went on 52 digouts in a row. Dig in with the hydraulic tool, ventilate, crawl in with a torch and cut the cutter chain lose. Pull the arm off...

    Valve spring question ??

Call Isky they will give you the correct advice. Incorrect matching of valve train components in a high-performance application will result in a failure. Sounds like big block springs and small block retainer.

    3020 carb issues

Which carb? Zenith or MS, I recently had an adventure with the MS carb on my 4020. I had to get out the service manual and adjust the float. Check fuel pump, change filter and clean the carb. The factory setup had a screen in the carb; most have been replaced with an inline filter.

    Today’s Truck

Nice truck. We forget that there was a time when single axel gas trucks were the majority of trucks on the road.
