    Mf 1085

The previous owner may have run it with coolant in the oil which damaged the balancer bearing. Time for a new block, I think there may be a combine with a similar engine.

    Ford Tractor Identification

I think 3 and one half turns open on the load screw is too much. Try 1 turn.

Locked rotor Amps Vs In Rush Amps

Is installing a soft start ever a bad idea?

What to expect from a tractor that’s been sitting for 4 to 5 years

It's a FarmAll M stored inside. Fresh gas, clean points and charge the battery. Turn on the ignition and crank it up.

    RACOONS IN THE BARN

Use marshmallows in the live trap. Cats have no interest and raccoons can't resist. sometimes I put the marshmallow under the trap and weight the trap. Of course, I do let the raccoon out of the trap after a Mark IV application.

    Should I buy it?

The price seems right. But that's about it. You need a bigger machine. Unless you have experience in dozer operation you will get that experience before you finish the job done. I expect you may also be a trained IH mechanic. An experienced operator with the right machine will made short...

    Battery Chargers...

I have had good luck rebuilding my old wheeled solar. I replaced the diodes a couple of times and finally installed a heaver rectifier bridge. The parts are available online. If you replace any of the wires in and around the rectifier, use wire and spade connecters for an electric range burner.

What Is The Best GAS Utility Tractor From The 1970’s - In 2026 ???

The Massey Ferguson 135 with the Perkins diesel is hard to beat. The industrial version; the 202, 2135 and the MF 40 are great little tractors,

New to me MF 135 - need advice on getting it running

There is often a small screen in the elbow at the carb which can generate the symptom you describe. It can be easily overlooked. Also, the main jet for that carb is in the bottom and I have found that it must be cleaned with a small wire brush.

Only time will tell, sounds like it may be ok.

MF 165 paired with new holland 849

I have a MF 65 High Arch with loaded tires, and I would not attempt to run my John Deere 510 with it, I believe that NH baler weights more. The 65 would have plenty of horsepower however the weight and especially the drawbar weight would concern me. I run it with a diesel 4020 with cast wheels...

MF-65 leaking Hydraulic oil from clutch casing.

If it has Multi-Power try operating in the low position. I expect it is leaking at the Multi-Power sealing rings when in high. Check a U-Tube video on the repair, it's more involved than you would expect. If it's the transmission seal that pretty easy.

    Under ground water line.

I can guaranty to find a leak everywhere I dig with the backhoe.

    MF 180 Quit Running

Likely finally got all the air out of the system, great news that it's running, they are a pretty nice tractor. I have got so I crank them over to bleed the pump.

    Haybine question

You don't have to buy too many guards and knife sections to get some serious money in a haybine. I would look for a used NH 489 or 469.
