    No the plug wires are right. I am in the process of checking the advance then re check the points.

    Yes I did, no pulling the choke doesn't help. And I did re gap the points. No wobble. Not sure about the advance? How can I check that? Is it possible the the governor, not working properly? Thanks Michael

    I did a total tune up on my 48, 8N. Front mount distributor 6 volt. Points, condenser, plugs etc. It starts up and idles fine. When I give it gas, it runs rough, misses and back fires a little What did I miss or did wrong? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Michael L.

    Starter Drive

    I think I have a bad starter drive. When I push the button it spins with out catching. After several times it catches. When it warms up I am going in. Do they stick closed and if so can it be loosened up. Or do I buy new and replace ?

    I have a 1947 8n. It starts fine and runs for about 5 min then sputters and stops. I restart it and it starts, then sputters like it is running out of gas. I pull the choke out and remains running. I rebuilt the carb and it did not help. (same symptoms as mentioned above) Where did I screw up...

    No rear wheel center? No problem!

    I saw these on a 9N that was setting along the road for sale. Matched pair with the old closed tread design tires on them. Makes me wonder how long they've been working like that.

    case plow

    I found a case 3/16 plow the wheel tread is like it is a 2 bottom, third bottom runs behind land wheel. The coulters are there shins good and molboards are not sharp, has a so so hydraulic cylinder on it, don't know much about case plows, what model could it be and what could be the value of it...

    To Bruce. Kudos to the Yesterday Tractors and mostly to Bruce. The Parts ordered came in record to, even thru snail mail. And Bruces instructons worked like he was here doing it himself. And when you turn the key it starts after a half revalution. So my hat goes off to Bruce and Yesterdays...

    Bruce, your information was priceless. I need new points, I think there burnt from what I can see. Front mount distrbutor, on the right side. Is there an easer way to change the point on this thing. Pretty tight fit. Any tricks to it?

    Thank you all for the info on no spark. Is there any simple wat to change and adjust points on a 8N 6 volt? Located up front close to the fan. Pretty tight and hard to see. Michael

    Bruce It's 8 N ,6volt all original. It ran good, up untill yesterday. When I turn the switch on it always show neg on the amp meter. then when it starts it shows charging. It ran for about a min. then it shut down. When I tried to restart the amp meter showed nothing, and no spark I checked with...
