NEED HELP, NEW PROJECT (NOT A TRACTOR) - 110 year old Barn Find Studebaker

I will guess the "Old Abe" is not the real deal it appears to be cast concrete and the proportions are not right from the picture, could still be a neat object though.

fuel door fasteners on Massey 180

working on painting my 180 the fuel cap flap on the hood is missing its"thumb screws" that hold it closed, does anyone have a source for them? Also where does the hood weatherstripping go on the hood it was either missing or I've forgotten where it goes. Thanks Mike

The front axles and adjusting levers are a darker green, Rustolium hunter green or new JD green is close, the frame is red in the beginning and transitioned to orange over time, the wheels are close to Euclid green as mentioned the rolling coulters are black, the backs of the moldboards can be...

    DC at the scrap yard

Yes on Meckley's. I took a few more pictures, there are two clutch levers that appear to be factory made, possibly a retrofit with older parts or a factory option? It has a four speed transmission but the PTO linkage in the top cover is like a CC, the two lever throttle and mag control is neat...

    DC at the scrap yard

I think we are both right,After looking at a couple of other pictures I took it looks like someone rigged up a second clutch lever. After looking at my copy of Full Steam Ahead it says the disk brakes are correct. I want to go back for a better look, this is interesting. It is located about five...

    DC at the scrap yard

I agree it may be a collection of parts, the clutch lever is on the right, I hadn't thought about the brakes, I don't know when they changed to bar axles, maybe the brakes changed at the same time, I don't really know. I believe the head has angle plugs, I don't know when they changed from the...

    DC at the scrap yard

I was driving past the local scrap yard and spotted this, I believe it is a 1941 DC in reasonably complete shape, my guess is the wide front is a later addition as it has the curved steering arm but don't really know. The chrome on the hood is in nice shape as is with chrome on the headlight...

    Plow for my SC

A good 2/14 hydraulic lift Case Centennial plow would be perfect for your SC. That being said, condition is more important than manufacturer everyone made a working plow by the forties, a worn out beat up plow will cause much frustration, JD and IH will probably have the best parts...

    DC hand clutch

You learn something new everyday, I thought all DC's had the same adjustment as the CC's, I'd never looked at my DC, I opened up the cover and there was the clutch Mel described with it's slot. Here is a low grade picture. Thanks for the education mEL!

    DC hand clutch

The DC clutch does indeed run in engine oil, there is a hand hole on either side of the clutch compartment to access the clutch adjuster it is a small spring loaded pin going into the clutch, a tool such as a screwdriver with a notch cut in it to pull the pin back will allow the clutch pressure...
