    Nice deal....Slap a 4.3 liter chevy block in her, swap over the externals and get her in the water. The basic long block is the same as automotive, just has different exhaust manifolds,carb,ignition.

    8N Wiring Questions

    I have the same set up on my 51 8N. Converted to 12 volts, EI, and Flame thrower coil a few years ago....Best thing I ever did for the old girl !!! No resistor is needed... And my single wire alternator starts charging as soon as I stsrt it up....no need to rev it way up.

    Any advise

    we are gonna need to know if it's a front mount or side mount distributor ???/ also does your new key switch have a spring loaded "crank" position like your auto ??? the key switch on the 8n only makes or breaks voltage to the coil. it has no crank position so a toggle switch will work...
