    Thanks for your reply. I think that you are correct with your assessment, I am going to reverse the connection and try again. Do you have any knowledge about how the trolley reverses direction? I dont have an owners manual .

    Not specifically but oil is dripping out along the shaft of the control rod,dont know where else it could be coming from. Rod was smooth to the touch, didnt show any wear. Im wondering if theres just enough wear on the rod that the seal cant completely close off. Thanks for the reply!

    My JD 1780 that I have now, the wing wheels retract to transport, very heavy frame ! You have to be careful with transport if filled up full with beans! I am basically looking for central fill planter with split row option.

    My JD is a vacuum planter, good planter but it takes alot of hydraulic oil for meters . Some people say that white planters are not built as heavy as JD planters, just want good planter that will plant accurately, evenly spaced seeds and less trouble!
