    Not spark

After replacing the dist cap and rotor I finally got the 8n running. Had to remove a burr off the mounting plate where the point screw down also. Replace one of the screws and washer to make points stay in place. New dist cap was not exactly right either. The rotor would hit as it revolved...

    8n ford wheel wobble

my 8n ford right front wheel wobbles whenever I hit a bump while in 3 or 4th gear. If I rest my foot on the tie rod (?) the wobble will stop. I checked front wheel bearings by jacking up the front end and wiggling the wheel. It did not move so I think the bearings are okay. Does my tie rod...

    1950 8n ford

Thanks to all who helped me solve my wheel problem. I tried the above and it worked. The left wheel brakes very fast but at least it is moves forward. Now I think I just have to adjust the brakes. Again thanks.

    1950 8n ford

when in forward gear the left wheel does not move but the right side moves. If I kept power to the wheels it would just turn in a circle. When I jacked up the left side wheel , off the ground, the wheel could be turned by hand.

    1950 8n ford

the right side wheel turns the left side moves about 6 inches then stops completely. If I kept going I would turn in a circle. As I said before when its not in gear and the wheel is off the ground it free wheels fine.

    1950 8n ford

8n was running fine while I was blading my drive. Parked it on a slight downhill slant. Next day I started it up and tried to move but left rear tire would not move. Any ideas what could be wrong. I jacked it up and the wheel will free wheel but once in gear will not move.
