    730 3pt oil leak

    got a 730lp that leaks hydraulic oil behind where the top link mounts for the 3 point. what is back behind to leak and how would you go about fixing it. it didnt leak bad till i put the top link bar on and carried a bale the other day. not its done leaked out a gallon of oil .

    well the small movements lead to great response is correct. i barely tap it and it would go all the way to left and after 20 min of playing with it i thought i had centered. then took down road and still had a pull to the right but at least now just sitting there it dont sharply take off right.

    i have to say that the 30 series tractors are good. but nothing beats a 20 open cab. the versatility of the 4020 i think is outmatched. with a loader for sure. i have 2 4020s with loaders one diesel and one lp. now a days just used for loading hay and feeding but they can be used for so much...

    just like stated earlier the tires and hydraulic remotes are a big thing. i just went to auction where two diesels with loaders on them sold and the one with 2 remotes and good tires went for 12 and the other one with one remote and worn tires went for 8000.

    well ill have to measure on the dogs later then. they go in where all the round part is in the dog. on the other the slide hole is good and round and tight i checked that also. i havent really checked the hole that the toggle sits in on the slider either.

    ok where is that at on this. idk exactly what your talking about. i know yesterday when i started to put back in barn the clutch is taking off on its own without me moving lever at all. you have to pull back to engage brake for it to stop then takes off again. i plan on tonight to start taking...

    not sure what the bypass starting circuit is. im not real up to speed on a lot of things on this tractor. but i assume that since i have the positive side of battery hooked up to cable running to selinoid that would mean negative ground. and from what ive read and you said ive got it backwards...

    thanks ben. i checked them out. the clutch kits are priced good. i didnt see the dogs or the toggles on there though. im going to try to tear down the clutch this weekend and see how everything looks. this tractor sit in a lean to barn for over 20 years so i imagine the clutch is rusted up...

    hey guys the other problem with this 730 is that the hand clutch wont stay engaged on its own. after some research what i found is that on the dogs there is a toggle that looks like a dog bone and it can wear down to not lock in. not sure if thats right. but when i get to look for that part...
