    theres one of those that pulls in our club once in a while.with short tires it does better than a guy would think!this one always spins out,im not sure if its modified any,probably not.he pulls stock non cut tire class.

    I made the trip this year too Vic ,I saw you pull a couple times .I thought you got in the money, looked pretty good! My wife went with me this year too ... last year my first time there on my first hook at 7250 it was hooked up good! front end in the air I heard a pop and left side locked up...

    sorry, I wasnt clear, I was replying to Vics. those are 4 cylinder dimensions. never ran a 605, but an 800 or bigger would work well.

    5.5 by 7 is 665 cubic inch.5.5 by 7.5 is 712.I have a 712,im very happy with it! havent dynoed it but it will pull 4 th gear with 18.4 38 10.5 mph if its not to good of a track.

    Kerosene vs. Diesel question

    Kerosene will not make a diesel run better, it cant it has less btu,s but it wont wax or jell in cold temps.the lower the grade of fuel like #3 or higher will make more power if you can get it to go through filters and injectors,it has more btus per gallon.

    1070 batteries

    My understanding is,the higher cca batts have more plates in them so they are closer together @ warp @ short out quicker than a lower cca battery.On my 18 wheeler i use interstate 750 cca.last ones went over 6 years , but it has 4 batteries.

    M5 undersize rod bearings

    to be clear on my previous post. the cam can get end play from normal wear, we had a u do that.it started knocking, an old mm mechanic told us to check end play.that fixed it, by loose i meant the cam not the adjusting nut. hope that helps.

    before you pull the pan you might check camshaft end play. theres a big jam nut with a inner adjusting bolt on the front of the engine. if thats loose it will knock.tighten up and back it off i think 1/8 turn.
