    Um....Advice anyone?

last two i did i made a thick steel plate almost as large as the face of the piston and hammered on it with an air hammer and anvil bit. Vibrates the rust loose i think, in addition i had a large hammer and block of wood for when the air compressor needed to catch up. I use diesel fuel to soak...

    Farmall regular piston removal

Definately, the pistons and rods come out the bottom, if the crank is turned right they will clear. Is the engine stuck? Dont try to remove the rod caps through the side of the engine, you wont be happy and if you arent young you may never get them apart and reassembled in your lifetime, drop...

McCormick Deering 15-30 (22-36) Work Light

Most often the generator was belt driven off the belt pulley but that usually meant they had a v-belt pulley added to the belt pulley and then the generator was mounted to the frame or fender. This one doesnt show much of that so i suspect it has a generator under the hood, maybe a factory unit...

    12-20 crossmotor info needed

I put a puller on it, BUT, i head the impeller at the hub and pull gingerly, that brass impeller can get bent or cracked easily. Sometimes i can wedge in behind it and push with heat on the impeller hub.

    Anyone remember?

Tried to do a search and could not find it. Looking for the story (or some of it) maybe pictures. Years ago a guy named Jean Claude (i think) posted a progress report about rescuing a W-12 on steel from an island up north, he mounted a roto tiller to the back so it would power/move the tractor...

Allis Chalmers 60 and McCormmick 76 input

I am an IH guy through and through but i had an Allis 60 and those were just a darn good combine, hard to beat. Did an excellent job of cleaning and pretty easy to work on.

I-12 IS-1507 starting procedure and spark advance

I know what you are hinting at but here is the deal. The impulse will only make the points snap open quickly at a certain degree after top dead center. IF the impulse does not work (and they will stick now and then) you REALLY want the advance/retard setting retarded as far as possible, you...

    Case LA

I would suggest also after it soaks a bit to try to bar the engine over at the flywheel while the starter is off. We have had better luck with that than at the starter crank.

    Misrepresented auction item....

I paid 1800 for my steel mccormick machine when they were selling for 400 dollars because thats what the seller wanted and it was close. Also sold my case machine for 1800 so i could break even. 510 is not crazy money if you want one, you have the money, and thats what it brings at auction.

    93 IH Combine

I have a 91 which would be a different steering type, but i think the same drive. On it the machine itself doesnt need to be in gear, BUT the drive does through the variable speed in which case the cylinder is actually in gear when you drive it but the header, feeder house, straw walkers, etc...
