    Epicyclic gearbox

Beautiful piece of engineering far ahead of it's time !The forerunner of the spacer that was introduced in the Super spec Masseys of the 1970's 148-168-188 series etc that incorporated the spacer & by then live Hydraulics that the Epicyclic Gearbox was capable of - The second pic is of my...

The...

    Epicyclic gearbox

Am uncertain how many were actually made & fitted but they hardly ever come up for sale -As Charles said they are the Unicorns of the Ferguson accessories - I have been collecting the unusual Ferguson accessories for years but and know of a few of the Epicyclic Gearboxes but had never seen...

    TEA-20 Engine serial number

Was very lucky to find this on a working tractor Charles, as from your comments buying one removed from a tractor is fraught with peril -There is an English Facebook site that as a lot of good posts from collectors etc you might enjoy so enclosed the link .Saw a recent post from someone who has...

    6v engine and 12v gearbox

Don't give up As I think it can be done ! Enclosed photo of a 6v Engine & Starter motor ..much bigger so you can compare with yours .I think you can still buy 6 V Starter motors & use a 12 V system ..the starter motors are pretty tough -I have an Old 6 v Tractor but converted to 12 v & don't...

    6v engine and 12v gearbox

Someone else had this problem some time ago ..I think the bolt holes won't line up as well due to the 6 v having a different pattern ...may also have problems meshing the starter drive .I think the conversion can be done though, but requires drilling new mounting holes ? -Some try to do the...

    TEA 20 tachometer suggestions

Sorry Charles that photo is showing it attached to the tractor I bought it off - Yes fair bit of play there by the look of it !! The weight of the blade would have played a part in that as well -Also the other problem is that so many people seem to treat grease guns like they are dangerous...

    TEA 20 tachometer suggestions

I bought the blade complete still attached to the tractor Charles so was fortunate to get everything in the one go. The guy wanted to sell it as a complete unit but persuaded him to separate it as I already had the Ferguson ...Some bits are in need of straightening but otherwise very little...
