Epicyclic gearbox

Hi there can anyone out there manufacture a epicyclic fergie gearbox for me or better still may be someone has one for sale ??

Matthewo1 you are chasing a Unicorn , as far as making a Ferguson Epicyclic unit is concerned even trying to fabricate a missing part or two from an original is wellnigh impossible . They are very complex and have dozens of parts including a hydraulic piston .
I have seen a few here in Australia , most were used by potato farmers in Victoria and Tasmania . A box itself is almost never sold , they are so sought after that whole tractors are bought just for the sake of the unit itself .
If you really need or want the functions this accessory provides then it is easier , cheaper and far more useful to buy a complete FE35 or MF35 with a two stage clutch .

I have seen ~~one~~ for sale in about 20 years. . .
Your better chance might be an Everett or Howard.
Your doing what with it?
The Everett or Howard will both run a tiller.
I currently have a Howard behind a Hupp on a Fergy TO-20.
Then there is an Everett currently gathering rust that needs reworking and future installation.
Just tying to get under 20 inches an hour.

Am uncertain how many were actually made & fitted but they hardly ever come up for sale -As Charles said they are the Unicorns of the Ferguson accessories - I have been collecting the unusual Ferguson accessories for years but and know of a few of the Epicyclic Gearboxes but had never seen one until this one came up for sale -I was surprised as it wasn't in a market garden area and overall the tractor was still in reasonable order -It is a 1948 Petrol model with the 6v system -I have since found a 6v generator still in working condition to to fully restore the tractor to original condition as a unique part of farming in Australia -Cheers

That is certainly a find . Has a later inclined oil filter housing been fitted to the six volt tractor ?

i Charles this is the same tractor we had a discussion about in April or May this year not long after I found the tractor - Have been in the process of building a better shed the past few months so haven't done a lot more to the tractor but certainly intend to when it cools off a bit more ! The dash had been badly dented so a mate found a replacement & cleaned up Ok ..just some primer on for the time being -Apparently these early models had a different brake actuator & the replacement linings fitted do not work properly..particularly in reverse !! -I have located a similar tractor & hope to salvage the correct brake shoes from that machine to solve the problem -Have also collected an original 6 V Generator so now have everything to bring it back to standard -Posted a link to see it running ..Worth a look ! Beautiful piece of engineering far ahead of it's time !The forerunner of the spacer that was introduced in the Super spec Masseys of the 1970's 148-168-188 series etc that incorporated the spacer & by then live Hydraulics that the Epicyclic Gearbox was capable of - The second pic is of my tractor which is a 1948 Petrol 6 v still in very good condition - The Main Brake lever had seized up as the previous owner just left it in low range all the time - No harm done & both Hi-Lo now work perfectly

Hi Matthew -No not for sale - I also have the Howard reduction gearbox which was the cheaper version at the time -Lovely engineering
