    Farmall 450 Hydraulic Problem???

Good place to start, the suction screen in the reservoir. A must if you replace the pump, don’t want to starve a new pump for oil

    Farmall 560 gas question

Ya, that’s how I ended up looking at this 656. One of my good customers friend just went thru divorce and ended up out in the country with a 20 acre farm. Got the 656 and an old disk and pto broad caster to plant a couple food plots for deer hunting. Had know idea how to use the tractor. I did...

    Farmall 560 gas question

Are you releasing the clutch pedal to fast???. Had a customer with a 656 (same engine C263) had the same problem. Complete tune up, rebuild carburetor and when I went to his place to check it out, had him show me what it was doing. When he put it in fourth gear he just released the clutch really...

    Question on 340

Standard pto shaft will work with the shredder. If the tractor has a torque amplifier, make sure it works. Usually out of adjustment cause most owners don’t know how to adjust them properly. They are a nice little tractor. Is it the international model (utility) or Farmall (row crop)?

Then you have issues inside. If you get a manual it will show you where to check pressures. But I suggest you contact Herrs hydrostatic. There are special tools needed if a rebuild is needed. To many things that might be wrong to cause your problems. Have you removed the filter and checked for...

Farmall h pushrod cover removal can it be done without removing the magneto and oil filter. Thanks Scott

The answer to your question is no. Just did one bout a month ago. I did remove the oil filter though. Customer wanted the oil changed anyway. I changed this tractor to 12 volt system and the cork gasket had finally gave up the ghost after 80 years.

Farmall 350 torque amplifier replacement labor

If you were to do the TA job, you already have the tractor split between the TA housing and differential. For another hours labor with the differential deck removed you can replace second gear. Lots of good used gears available

If it still won’t move you probably will be getting in deeper than you care to. But first thing is you need is a set of gauges for main, servo, and charge pressures. As suggested, Herrs is the place to call

To isolate between if it’s an internal problem or external. Unhook thr two lines coming from the hydrostat on the left side. 3/8 steel lines I believe and cap the fittings at the hydro. CAUTION Start the tractor but remember the clutch pedal (foot’n inch valve) will not stop the tractor. Move...

Try the SR lever with the hi lo transmission in neutral. Should here it load the engine as you move the SR lever forward than reverse at least half way in the quadrant each direction. Have never heard of a hydro going into bypass

Farmall 350 torque amplifier replacement labor

When I give an estimate on a TA job it can very quite substantially. My average hours will fall between 25 to 35 hours. Some may be less and some more. Before anything make sure the low side (ramp&rollers) are slipping. If just the high side slips then only one split is necessary. If low side...
