    2021.......

Kinda strange I haven't seen major movement in steel prices yet out here in south central ny . Last coil of galvanized was up 8 cents a lb . Just priced 4800 lbs of beams and channel not much different from a month ago .

    Looking for ideas

No pics but I tack welded 1/2" conduit together . Zip tied cheap lights to it . Hardly weighed any thing .

    Unstacked Hay

I was usually a one man show . Had a setup I could drop 6-700 in without stopping . I'd go in and stack the next day or whenever had time . The last year I did it a couple neighbor kids would come in and stack when they had a chance . Worked out good . I did run a new Holland bale wagon .

    Strange welding rod

Are you sure it wasn't galvanized angle ? Hot- dipped can be shiny . If it is aluminum it's something I never heard of in 35 years of metal work .

    A genuine pandemic...

We have 70 acres or so of woods ,50 to 60 percent ash . Don't have a lot of deadfalls yet but over the last couple years pretty much all are affected . Burned all ash in the woodstove last couple years .

    tree stand

Last vehicle I found on us I took his plates off and threw em in the river . I also caught a jeep with spike strips once , kinda funny . They tore up a new seeding the day before , decided to come back the second night . 4 flats and the cops got em.

Pertaining to the ash borer , all my ash are dead or dying . Central NY right on PA border. Hemlocks are following suit . Ash is excellent firewood . Poplar is ok for campwood .

    I've been looking welders

I own a sheet metal and steel fab shop . We work from 24 gauge to 1/2" plate. Have 3 110 volt Miller's for all our light work . Been excellent machines.

    Welding

I was shocked once or twice due to water , seemed mild . Last night 6 of us were rebuilding a high pressure oven plenum while welding and crawling all over it . Not saying it can't happen but in 30 years I've only got it from moisture .
