    12 Coil on Gas 1010

    I rewired tractor because it didn't have anything at all and had a 12v alt and battery....so I put a 2.9 ohm 12 volt coil on it and replaced points and condenser. But it seems this problem keeps creeping up...I'll look into it more and get back to u'guys..Thanks Again :wink:

    I have a 1010 ser# 1010 RU 21657 There are 2 different size splines on the 1010 one is a 21 spline and the other is a 25 spline and I was wondering if there is a way to tell which I have by ser# without doing the tear down so I can pre-order disc's.     Thanks Gentleman.....Right now it has just the coil and it seems to be dying when it gets hot and then re-starts and runs fine for a little while.....not fuel and spark looks weak out of coil. Already replaced coil and condenser but was wondering if needed resistor since it doesn't have one.

    850 (172ci) oil pressure fluctuation

    Your suction tube on oil pump might be loose....U can ck it by draining oil and tube is right there in opening so u can ck and see if it is loose. When I rebuild these engines I tack weld the tube to pump so this doesn't happen. I've seen these tubes have a hole on them from crankshaft wearing...

    JD 1010 Governor snapped wide-open?

    All of a sudden my tractor went to wide open and there was some rattling like ball bearing in front of engine so cked all linkages and spring they are in place. Anyone out there could me an idea of what I might be looking at that would be Big Help!!! Thanks in Advance!!!
