    you where on the right track I let it set tell today and went and started it again and it. Bearly was clicking and went away. The oil level was fine it must of been cavitating at the pump from air in one of the lines/ functions. Thanks so much.

    It start clicking when I activated a the twine arm (JD 510 baler) the inching pedal and was shifting gears. I did not turn off the pto.

    I just replaced pto brake on my 65 4020 powershift and the o rings and gaskets. The pto turn on and off great. Today when I made my first round bale and started to tie the pto started a clicking noise. At idle its about 2 clicks a second any ideas? Pto still works like it should.

    Yes it is a powershift. Would the pressure being low be the problem? The book said 150psi on the pto clutch test port.

    My pto won't turn off. You can't stop it with a board ect. Pressure at rear svo is 1500 on both. Pressure at pto clutch check port is 140. This flutters at operating temp. My valve does not have the pto brake check point. Was wanting opinions, words of wisdom before I split the tractor. More...

    4450 PTO wont shut off

    I bought a 4020 with that problem and your foot would not stop it. All it was was 5 or more gallons of dirt in the dash that had broke a rod for the pto lever. Might not always work that way but some times it's worth looking into before you walk away.

    I have used one of the pertronix(possibly spelled wrong) and had much better engine performance especially starting. It does say to run a bigger spark plug gap. Also to not leave key on, engine off, as it could burn up the unit or coil. Hope this helps.
