    three wire system. The stud on the back should connect to the amp meter. Where are the other two wires connected? I'm guessing the wire connected to the switch is the problem. it must have a diode in line. Unplug the two wires and see if you still have a short.

    I restore toy tractors. I would find some brass or steel and make a new drawbar. paint it Ford red.

    Valve Spring Compressor - How does it work?

    It's for flat head engines. It's not a small engine compressor. Small engine compressors are much smaller. I have one for large engines. And a small one for air cooled engines. You can also remove and install valve springs on air cooled engines with just a flat screwdriver. No tool required.

    Backhoe attachment for 2N?

    My dad has a Sherman grave digger (backhoe) on a 641. The parts books show brackets for 9n-8n tractors. The backhoe is very heavy. I can't beleive a 2n would handle the weight very well.

    my 9n has 303 hydraulic fluid in the transmission. been in there for 15 years. No problems yet.

    OT-Offers on Ebay-Why do people bother!!!

    I sell on ebay. When you use the "make offer" option You have to set it to automaticly reject the low offers. If I don't I'll my mail is full of offers for $1!

    Tractor battery best brands

    I use carquest batteries. Never had one yet That did't last at least 7 years. I just removed the battery from my wd45. it was 14 years old! You need one of theose little chargers. Some stores call them a battery butler. They are 1amp and turn themselves off when the battery reaches 13.6 volts...

    That is a 38 or 39 F20. Only the last ones had two brake pedals.

    J4 and H4 magneto parts interchange?

    I have a J4 magneto with a broken drive cup. I also have a H4 gas parts magneto. Will the cups interchange? The H4 drive lugs are square and the J4 lugs are round. Will this cause a problem.

    I have dads 57 wd45 diesel. he paid $1200 back in 74. The engine had just been replaced due to a valve that broke a piston. Dad bought it for the MF baler. he had a farmall M with M&W pistons. The M would not tie the knots when baling up hill. The wd45 would bale uphill in 3rd gear and never...
