John Deere 730 gas tire options

I have a 1959 730 gas that I need a rear tire for. Size is 15.5-38. It has one BF goodrich tire from 2005 that has seen very little use. The Goodrich has 45 degree lugs that look really nice on the tractor. Are there any 15.5-38 BF goodrich tires out there still? If not what are my options to...

    John Deere CC field cultivator

I picked up a CC field cultivator and the clutch lift appears to be missing a few parts. Can I convert this cultivator to hydraulic lift? Thanks for any help

    Oliver drawbar extension for planters

I put a notill bar on my 1966 oliver 540 planter and noticed that it increases my turn radius by a lot. I have a drawbar extension for a very late 540 that I?m trying to put on my planter but the frame angles are very different between the model years and it?s just not going to happen unless...

    John Deere 105 corn special

There is no grain table with the machine, but there are several 218 flex heads in my area that could be bought on the cheap. As I understand it could run up to a 20 foot platform.

    John Deere 105 corn special

Fella in my area of operation has a 1969 John Deere 105 corn special for sale. I don?t know how many hours it has but I do know it?s kept in a shed and runs perfectly. Downside is it has a gas engine. It comes with a 643 corn head that?s probably half worn out. He wants 1750 for it. Is this a...

    Oliver 543 planter

Came upon this 543 sort of on accident. I was in the right place at the right time. It has the notill bar which is why I wanted to buy it in the first place. The fertilizer boxes are cracked but they?re ok for decoration which is what I wanted them for. I have a 540 that I?ve replaced a...

    John Deere 70 regulator problems

My 70 has always started up good until this spring. Every time I would go to start it up I would have to use a battery charger. I was told that the voltage regulator was incorrect for the tractor. I know where to get a new one but the problem is that I don?t know how to put it back on. I...

    Planter problems

Well today I ran a few passes with my Oliver 540 planter and John Deere 70. I was running at half throttle in 2nd gear. I hopped off to check my seed levels and I noticed one of the units wasn?t using as much seed as the others. My suspicion was confirmed when I went back on the row it planted...

    Planting speed

This tractor is a gas and I?m using it because it has live hydraulics unlike my G. If 3rd gear at about half throttle will give me 4ish mph that?s what I?ll try this afternoon. I?ll be planting beans because a four row planter and twelve row corn head don?t play well together.

    Planting speed

Finally ready to plant with my Oliver 540, but I?m not sure how fast I should be going. My tractor is a John Deere 70 with 6 speed transmission. Third gear is what I?m thinking but at full throttle it might be a touch too fast. What do you guys think? Thanks for any help!

    John Deere 3 bottom plows

I?ve been looking for a 3 bottom John Deere plow with hydraulic capability for awhile now and I?ve found one fairly close to home. The man wants 750 for it and that just seems a little steep for a 65 year old plow. It does have decent rubber all around. What do these implements usually bring on...
