Planter problems

Well today I ran a few passes with my Oliver 540 planter and John Deere 70. I was running at half throttle in 2nd gear. I hopped off to check my seed levels and I noticed one of the units wasn?t using as much seed as the others. My suspicion was confirmed when I went back on the row it planted and found no seed for 10 yards. It looks like the gears that turn the plate are worn and are letting it slip. Anybody know where I can get these gears? I need one of each in the picture.

You likely can get by well with a washer or two shimmed to move that gear over an 1/8 or more.

It might be an illusion, but it even looks like the chain is running crooked a bit, that shaft needs to move to the right?

I don?t see anything on the gear/ sprocket end of the shaft, so the place to shim must be under the bucket to the right of the seed tube.

A good welder should be able to repair that gear.

Should be able to go third throttle and third gear.
