    540 bendix steering cylinder

    Thank you. If I understand correctly, in order to do this right it needs to be cut & rebuilt inside also, (piston) But if the rod is scarred new packing will probably leak again. Is there any other option or permanent fix? Or just take it to a hydraulic shop for a complete rebuild? Thanks again...

    I have the kit to rebuild my bendix steering cylinder. It was rebuilt a couple years ago, it was still leaking after that "rebuild" so I know it wasn't done correctly. I need help with getting o-rings, washers, spacers ,seals etc in correct order. A diagram, pictures, any instructions would be...

    Hey Joe, thanks for the reply & info. Control valve is not leaking it's the seals on the other end. ( right side as sitting on tractor). I have ordered a seal kit from John Saeli. I know the seals have been replaced in the past so not sure it was reassembled correctly. The steering works great...
