The worst airfilter I have ever seen
I agree. They built things to last in the old days and I am happy with not having to deal with paper filter replacement. When I say worst air filter, I meant it as in the worst shape I have ever seen an air filter in. -

Bought this tractor last summer, it has sat until now and I had a chance to go over it, it apparently had regular maintenance. How many cans of brake cleaner do you think it took to "wash" it out? Thankfully nothing made it up through the canister to the engine. -

Ford 5000 ID Help
Bought this tractor a couple years ago and looking to start restoring it a little at a time. The tag under the hood was painted over and I cannot make out the serial #, here is a picture: I found the stamp down by the bellhousing I believe: If I have this right it was manufactured August... -

Ford 5000 Lift Arm Pin
I wonder, maybe it is better to just use it until it won't go no more and get a new loader for it. I will use the loader in the summer for holding one cord bags of firewood while they are filled and than moving / unloading them. -

Yeah, seems like it needs some steel put back, I guess through boring it and stuffing in a bushing. More than I have tools for at my place, that's forsure. Here are some more pictures. -

Ford 5000 Lift Arm Pin
I would like to replace the pin on this tractors lefthand side lift arm. Sure does not look like the right one to me? I am searching for a replacement but so far no luck, not even sure what they would normally be called. Anybody else have this tractor with bucket could share a picture of theirs... -

1975 Ford 5000 Oil Filter
Thanks @Dopp Creek. Closer inspection of the filter shows it is a 1452, was just very hard to read. @Destroked 450 awesome information thank you. This tractor has a LOT of play in the steering so maybe previous owners did not know about this. It is something I want to fix as driving it down the... -

Hi all, I just bought a Ford 5000 (1975) and would like to do an oil change on it, and want to make sure I have the right filter in mind. Is the Motorcraft FL-1A the right filter? Is there anything else I should be checking while I do this? Common issues? I am slowly going to work my way...
