    1964 ford 4000

    Might check to see if the stand pipe in the tank has broken off. Fuel will bleed into the crankcase through the return line going from the tank to the head also. Mine gave me fits for a month before I figgered it out.

    Fuel Return Line Size

    Stand pipe was the problem as it quit getting fuel in the oil after I routed the small return line into a catch can instead of the bottom of the tank. Thanks for the info I haven't tried any used parts places around here.

    John, Where did you get that picture & where can I get one of those? I had to reengineer mine to keep fuel out of the oil because the stand pipe is missing. Sure would like to get one in there. All my friends think my little Ford is manufacturing fuel.

    Believe me it is absolutely possible for fuel to leak into the crankcase because of a broken standpipe. I discovered this after removing my injector pump, shuting off the fuel at the tank, draining the oil & letting the thing sit for three days. It was still dripping fuel so I diconected the...
