    Thanks for the advice. I havent taken mine apart yet , do to hip surgery I just had so its going to be a spring project as I cant get into my shop. I used the last 2 years kinda fun blowing snow with it. I am in west central MN

    I have restored several Molines including a model L Uni with a baler, I now am working on a New Idea 702 with a snowblower. I think my drive plate failed on the engine fly wheel,anybody familiar with these machines,or where to get parts?

    yes you can put bushings in the cover. I have done it to 2 of mine, I also redid the shifter with stainless steel and put a boot over the end where it slides.

    I would like to put powersteering on a u standard,I think somebody made a pulley to go on the fan shaft for this. I have the pump & sector, I know I"ll have to make some brackets . But I need the pulley set up???

    torque tool

    How do you all torque and retorque heads on M5, Us, without the special wrench? Can you just do it by feel or do I need to get that wrench or adapter. And where do you get it. I think J D use the same tool. Anybody got a part #

    uni axle oil leak

    I think what happened was that I drove it 10 miles to a town for a parade, it was all on gravel roads with a crown on the road. I now have the right side jacked up, maybe the oil will run back. Thanks for the advice.

    The right drive wheel on my L uni is leaking oil. The book shows no seal and the bearing seems ok. Could it be that the oil level is to full ?

    What is the difference in the 283A engine and a 283B engine? I want to put a U engine into a UB.
