    606 torque amplifer

    I got a 606 international with the torque amplifer. When in 'high' range, it is tough to shift the tractor into different gears. Is this normal for these tractors, or do I have a problem with mine?

    I have an International 606 diesel tractor with loader. The serial number on the tractor is 6401 with a couple of letters afterwards that i don't remember. Is this one of the first 606's built in 1964? or does that number mean nothing with respect to that.

    On each side of the combine right above the chaff fan there is an opening that runs crossways the width of the machine, with a decal that says 'clean here'. If I ever clean it, it fills back up packed hard with chaff within the first hopper. Is yours the same way, or is something wrong with...

    That is exactly what I needed. Thanks so much for the picture, it will help alot. My 642 has got all the pieces it looks like, but its just not configured quite right. I dont know why I noticed it, but I always wondered why they had yellow fans on the motor, it just isn't the right color...

    I live up here in Alberta Canada, and we are just finishing up harvest here, so we are going pretty hard too. My 642 I believe is a 74ish, the serial number is 642000952 My uncle bought it new, so it has stayed pretty close to home. Where are you located?

    throttle linkage

    Hey I was wondering if anybody had a picture or a schmatic of the throttle linkage on a Ford 642 combine with the 2715E engine. We still use one in the field faithfully every year, and it only has 1600 engine hours, but the linkage has been screwed up for some time now.
