Off topic....a year since my last cigarette

Congrats Andy! I quit smoking in 2003 and quit dipping Copenhagen June 28th this year. Its a tough habit to let go, and anyone with the will power to do so should be recognized! Congrats and good luck.

    77 motor build

I had a guy tell me today that you could put super 88 sleeves and pistons in a 77 motor without machine work. I dont think that is right, just looking for confirmation. Thanks!

    extreme tractor parts

Ive done a lot of talking, but no business. Ray has been very helpful, and when I get ready to get some custom parts made, he will be the first one that I call. He is a top notch guy that has made time to talk to me several times without any guarantee of purchase. There arent many folks out...

build your own or buy one built?

I have a friend and co-worker that bought his puller ready to pull and has had pretty good luck, and he seems to be having a lot of fun. On the other hand, I bought my tractor as it came out the field. The first year my dad and I worked on it to get it set up and had pretty good success. Before...

    flywheel weight

I am running 3000 rpms max, but more than likely will be normally around 2500 in the speed limit classes. I pull a transfer sled without a drop pan, unless I take a trip, and then I may see a drop pan sled. Thanks for the help guys.

    flywheel weight

Looking for some help. I am looking at buying the steel flywheel for my tractor, but one company sells one that is a bit heavier than the stock one, and another sells one that is quite a bit lighter. Would you go with the heavy or light flywheel and why? Thanks for any help that you can provide.

The only 2 vendors that I have been able to come up with are Hitt Motorsports and Rursch Industries. If you find out any others let me know. Prices range from $700 to $850.

    steel flywheel

I am sorry if I ever lead anyone to think that I was not concerned about the safety of the general public or any other bystanders. That could not be further from the truth. Maybe I didn't word things exactly right, and for that I appologize to all that were offended. I have a family of my own...

    steel flywheel

I was wondering what vendors carry the steel flywheels for the Oliver 88's? Also, I am turning around 3000 rpms, in your honest opinion do I need the steel flywheel or is the cast fine? I was told that 3000 was the limit and that it would be good insurance. Also, if the cast flywheel were to fly...

    Parts counter people (RANT)

Unfortunately most people that are good at the job wont stay at it because better employment is found. I worked at the local Carquest for my last few years in high school and through college. After starting my career I had to give up the parts store. Almost everytime I go in there and the owner...
